Everyone needs a favor occasionally. There are people around you, friends, family members, neighbors, co-workers, that we have done favors for. They may have done favors for you.
What does having the favor of God mean? Favor means to give special regard to, to show extra kindness to someone , far beyond that would be normal.
(1). We can increase in favor with God and with man. The child Samuel did in 1 Samuel 2:26 and the child Jesus did in Luke 2:52. Every child of God should desire and seek favor in the eyes of God.
(2). Genesis 12:1-4 God said to Abraham if you do this verse1, I will do verse 2. God favored Abraham.
(3). Luke 1:30 Mary, the mother of Jesus was favored and chosen. The Christian has been chosen and thus favored 1 Peter 2:9.
