Agape Christian Fellowship is finalizing preparations for our First-Year Anniversary on February 12, 2017. If it had not been for the Lord, we could not have made it this far. So, we are getting ready to celebrate what He has done, what He is doing, and what He will do among us! I will see you there.
I want to lift an idea that we will finish next time we connect. If I ask you, “Do you know Former President Barack Obama?” You would say, “yes”. He is the Former President of the U.S. But, do you really know him. I think most of us just know about him. I am going somewhere, just let me lay a foundation. The only way you can say that you know him is you got to spend time with him. Then you can say, “I know him”. Right now, you just know about him. It is when you spend some time with him, talking about basketball, law, what caused him to get into politics that you get to know him. Then you begin to tell the Former President about you. That is how you get to know each other.
Now that is how we get to know Jesus Christ, by spending time with Him. We get to know Jesus by reading His Word, studying, listening to recordings. John 14:21-24. Paul said in Philippines 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection. Next time we connect, we will go deeper.
